- Buy Whole. Rarely are small portions (chicken breasts vs. whole chicken or steaks vs a roast) a good idea.
- Buy on sale. Your meal planning should take sales into account.
- Cook Big. General rule of thumb is... any thing you cook should allow for 1 portion of leftovers per person.
- Plan. What's for dinner tonight should never be a question. Last minute meal decisions lead to overspending and unhealthy eating.
